Motivation and YOU.

Motivation and YOU.
What motivates you? What gets you up and out of bed and ready to “seize the day?”
There are two basic motivation strategies:
2 motivation strategies either the Carrot or the Stick
  1. Moving towards a goal - towards pleasure- the carrot
  2. Moving away from a negative - away from pain - the stick
Neither one is right or wrong.  It is just the way people are programmed. If it is a learned behavior or a natural preference, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you know what -
“Gets you going!”
Watch out for those people who say “Oh No”… you must be positive! Not necessarily so.
Yes it helps to have a positive expectation and as far as the law of attraction goes,
Like attracts like and what you focus on expands.
So watch out if you are running away from the negative please look at and focus on the pleasure that you are actually
running towards.
Too many people are backing into their future. They are walking away from troubles, problems and pain
and not turning around to see a bright and happy future.
If you are aware of your motivation strategy and it is a “move away from”then you can turn around … face the future
and move towards the pleasure, the vision and it will be easier to take your focus off the negative and turn
your back and move away from the negative and the pain.
Your Vision Board is the visual representation of a bright, positive and happy future. When you gaze at it,
when you meditate with it, when you focus on it… check in with yourself and ask am I happily moving towards this goal and dream or am I running away from a current pain.
When you do this you will feel your inner or core energy and your core motivator, you true motivation strategy.
It’s not good or bad right or wrong, it just IS… And what’s great is, now you have an awareness of how you work!
Socrates said “Know Thyself”
Whichever strategy you use to get yourself going, once you understand yourself -
You will be able to work with your Vision Board even more effectively.

Vision Board Success Tip - Creating Space.

Here is a Vision Board Personal Growth Quick Tip from: 101 Vision Board Tips for Personal Growth   (a new service I offer to my valued subscribers)

Creating Space.
Overwhelm, too many spinning plates,
so much to do… so little time,
so many projects, emails, phone calls...
Does any of this sound familiar?
Dr. Deepak Chopra said so many people just rush their lives away
and a futurist friend of mine (someone who studies society
and forecasts emerging trends) said “busy” is the new status symbol.
So many “time saving devices” have just enabled us to do more
and jam more activity into our already busy day.
A simple and yet really effective way to give yourself more space,
allow a feeling of freedom and to give yourself a “breather” …
is to CREATE space on your Vision board.
It may sound too simple, but simple works and the subconscious mind
the driver of your unconscious beliefs and habitual behaviors
will perceive the extra space on your board and you will be amazed
how the space will then start to appear in your life.
If you cant remove any “too busy” pictures from your Vision board,
try trimming the edges of the pictures you have and give yourself
the space that way.
Let me know how it goes....
Celebrating Your Success!
